This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Voltbench ("we", "us") collects when you use Voltbench (the "Service"), how we use it, and your rights over it.

Who We Are

Voltbench provides web-based electrical engineering calculation tools. We act as the data controller for the data described below. You can reach us at support@voltbench.app.

Information We Collect

• Account information — your email address and name, and an encrypted password hash.
• Project data — the inputs and results you enter into the calculators, saved to your account so you can return to them.
• Waitlist information — if you join the waitlist, your email address and the page it came from.
• Purchase information — provided via Paddle when you buy a report (see below).
• Usage and technical data — anonymized usage signals and standard server logs (e.g. IP address, browser) needed to operate and secure the Service.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the Service, save your projects, and deliver purchased reports.
• To process purchases and provide customer support.
• To send transactional messages, and — only if you opted in — waitlist updates.
• To secure, maintain, and improve the Service.

Payment Processing — Paddle

Payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Limited. Voltbench does not collect or store your credit card or payment details. We receive confirmation of a purchase and a transaction reference only. Paddle's handling of your data is governed by Paddle's own privacy policy.

Your Projects and Data

Project inputs and results are stored against your account so you can revisit and reuse them. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising. You can ask us to delete your account and its associated project data at any time.

Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies required for the Service to function (such as keeping you signed in). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking beyond what is necessary for Paddle's checkout.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share data only with the processors that help us run the Service — notably Paddle (payments), our email provider, and our hosting/infrastructure providers — and where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.

Data Retention

We retain account and project data for as long as your account is active, and purchase records for as long as required by law (typically several years for financial records). Deletion is available on request.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact support@voltbench.app; we aim to respond within 30 days.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are reflected in the "last updated" date above, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
