Terms and Conditions
Last updated 2026-07-08 · Voltbench
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Voltbench website and web application (the "Service"), operated by Voltbench. By creating an account, purchasing a report, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
About Voltbench
Voltbench provides web-based electrical engineering calculation tools. The Service guides you through a standards-based method, computes results from the inputs you supply, and can produce a downloadable report documenting the calculation.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to enter into a binding contract, to purchase from or use the Service.
Our Products and Services
The Service offers one or more calculation tools, with additional tools added over time. The guided wizard and on-screen results are provided free of charge; downloadable reports are paid. We may add, modify, or discontinue tools or features with reasonable notice.
Professional Use and Responsibility
Voltbench is a calculation aid intended for use by, or under the supervision of, a qualified engineer. Its results and reports support and do not replace the professional judgement of a licensed engineer, who remains the engineer of record and is solely responsible for any design decision and for compliance with applicable codes and standards. You are responsible for verifying all inputs and for independently confirming all outputs before relying on them. Referenced standards remain the property of their respective bodies; Voltbench is an independent tool and is not endorsed by or affiliated with any standards body.
Payments and Billing
Reports are sold as one-off purchases; prices are shown on the pricing page. All payments are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which handles billing, invoicing, and applicable taxes. Prices are displayed in USD and, where shown as inclusive, include applicable taxes. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms. We do not receive or store your card details.
Refund Policy
Refunds are handled as described in our refund policy.
License and Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own professional or personal engineering work. You may not resell or redistribute access, reverse engineer the Service, or use automated means to abuse it. Reports you generate from your own inputs are yours to use for your projects.
Intellectual Property
The Service, its software, design, and branding belong to Voltbench or its licensors. The inputs and project data you enter remain yours.
Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third parties such as Paddle (payments) and our hosting providers. We are not responsible for the availability or terms of third-party services.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your requirements.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Voltbench excludes liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 90 days preceding the claim.
Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
